COVID 19 FIRM Update
(April 5, 2020)

Under the Colorado public health order, at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GjiohfHn3BP10UxifTQLfgfdw0Twrut_/view, Law Firms have been designated as a critical business which may continue to operate.  Dymond Reagor, PLLC will continue to operate during the crisis.  Our DTC location, in the Edward Building, Suite 1040, at 8400 E. Prentice Avenue, continues to be open from 9 am through 5 pm each weekday.

However, we are following all requirements of the CDPHE order and the CDC recommendations for businesses (see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/guidance-business-response.html), including the following:

- Each person who (a) has ANY coronavirus symptoms, (b) has traveled out of the country or to the U.S. East Coast in the last 14 days, or (c) has had contact with a person known to be infected, is prohibited from physical presence at the office until they have completed a 14 day quarantine period or received a negative testThis applies to employees, subtenants, clients and all visitors.

Further:
- Each person at the Firm's location must observe a 6 foot physical distancing requirement.
- Each person must follow personal protection steps identified in the CDC order, including

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow. Throw used tissues in the trash and immediately wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol. Learn more about coughing and sneezing etiquette on the CDC website.
  • Clean AND disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as workstations, keyboards, telephones, handrails, and doorknobs. Dirty surfaces can be cleaned with soap and water prior to disinfection. To disinfect, use products that meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2external icon, the cause of COVID-19, and are appropriate for the surface.
  • Avoid using other employees’ phones, desks, offices, or other work tools and equipment, when possible. If necessary, clean and disinfect them before and after use.
  • Practice social distancing by avoiding large gatherings and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible.
- Those over age 60 or who have a known underlying physical condition which increases risk of infection or harm (such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, or any respiratory illness or limit) should avoid in person meetings.

To accommodate concerns, the Firm has created online meeting options for every meeting and client.

For our estate planning clients, the Governor has suspended the requirement for in person notarization. See https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c_QxNWMuZZbv-4keXDP_CCXjzULFxK6E/view.  The State of Colorado has released emergency orders allowing remote or video witnessing and notarization/verification of signatures, and will use these tools for every client who needs to execute planning documents but does not wish to be physically present for the signing.
